Drone Test Pilot

About Us
Skypull is a Swiss startup based in Lugano (Ticino), Switzerland.
We are developing an autonomous tethered drone that climbs to and captures the energy of altitude winds. The wind power is converted through a ground generator into electricity.
Skypull’s uniqueness is its specifically designed airframe and high-efficiency wing profile. We expect to outperform the competition in terms of energy production due to the higher performances and better deployability.
It is our intention to reach market maturity within the end of 2019. For that we are looking for intellectually curious leaders and dedicated team players who drive Skypull forward. People at Skyull are enthusiastic about what they do, learn fast from each other and demonstrate a high degree of empathy.

Responsibilities
Together with us, you are responsible for developing and flight testing our prototypes. In this exciting phase, you will have the opportunity to lead the flight test department and prepare our drones for the planned energy generation tests.
Your job will consist in:
- defining and establishing a flight test plan
- leading all the test phases
- organizing and executing the single flight tests
- adapting and optimizing the control software at all levels
- managing and reporting incidents
- ensuring compliance with all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations

Depending on your interests and level of skill, you will contribute to different areas of our development team such as UAV design, flight controls, state estimation, advanced control strategies and algorithms.
By joining Skypull, you will become part of a talented team and have a positive impact not only on the team, but also the organization itself. With us, you will have the chance to shape the future of airborne wind energy.
