About TeachersConnect
TeachersConnect is an in-person and online network that gives new K-12 teachers a safe place to ask their most pressing questions—even the embarrassing ones—and get answers from a trusted network of peers, mentors, and experts who understand the real-world classroom challenges.

In partnership with teacher prep programs across the country, TeachersConnect is laying the groundwork to ensure a world in which teaching is never a solo activity and "teacher prep" stays with teachers for as long as they want.

We’re a new and exciting company: a Mass Challenge 2015 finalist, a member of the fall 2015 LearnLaunch educational technology accelerator, and in January 2016 we began work with our first partners. This is an incredible opportunity to take ownership of key tasks and make an enduring mark on an exciting new mission-driven company.

The Role
The position requires someone who has an insatiable curiosity to try out new ideas, the analytical perspective to understand what works and what doesn’t, deep compassion for educators, and exceptional interpersonal skills—including the ability to convey a sense of comfort and optimism when engaging people one-to-one or in large groups, in-person and in writing.

You are the face and voice of TeachersConnect as we bring on our early clients, working with Deans of schools of education and heads of teacher preparation programs to make sure that implementation is as smooth and impressive as possible.

Your Responsibilities
In the next twelve months you should expect to:
Plan and co-deliver new customer on-boarding meetings.
Develop documentation and systems so that each new implementation is smoother than the prior.
Be the eyes and ears of TeachersConnect within the online community—observe, contribute, energize.
Coordinate, train, and manage a team of part-time Community Managers from among our partners
Imagine: How else can TeachersConnect solve problems for teachers and teacher prep programs?
Assist in recruitment and sales: Research and manage information about prospective clients in a customer relations management system.
Be prepared for anything. We’re a small, really fun, and fast-moving startup, and we’re looking for people who relish the opportunity to dig in for the long run to build a powerful organization with us.

Very strong organizational and project management skills
1-2 years of marketing and/or social media experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Evident curiosity, creativity, humor, humility, and a love of creating and connecting

What Would Really Raise Our Eyebrows
Project management and/or experience introducing new systems or products
Experience with inbound marketing
Evidence of visual design talent
Experience leading in-person and online communities
K-12 classroom experience
Experience with start-ups
Experience with customer relations management systems (CRMs)
Experience with front end programming

The position is designed for someone beginning a career in educational technology. Compensation is competitive and includes a combination of salary and equity. With success, compensation and responsibility will grow.
