Social Media Intern

FilmDoo is a new online film platform redefining the way people discover and watch great films from around the world. We are looking for a Social Media Marketing Intern with a love for films to join us on this exciting journey. The ideal candidate would live and breathe Facebook and Twitter. They have their own active Facebook and Twitter accounts and are constantly sharing their discoveries with the world.

We are a UK company but are about to launch internationally. The role would be three-month internship to start off with with but there would be an opportunity to come on board as part of the FilmDoo team. We would prefer full-time interns but would be open to part time. We would also be flexible with start and end dates. Our office and core team is based in London although we have team members in Sydney, Bangkok, and New York and are used to remote working.


• Manage and develop strategies to grow our social media accounts - the main focus will be on Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus, although there may be opportunities to work on others
• Develop new content for posting on social media, including both text and visual content as required
• Reply and interact with social media followers to drive user engagement
• Research and identify content that can be shared on our social media to attract followers
• Identify top social influencers to approach as ambassadors and collaborators
• Research and identify relevant Facebook groups and pages and Twitter accounts as part of social media outreach
• Familiar with using online tools such as Buffer, Grum, Crowdfire and Social Bro/ Audiense to help with post scheduling and social outreach
• Ability to trial and run Facebook and Twitter ad campaigns
• Track and provide weekly report on social media metrics
• Designing marketing collateral and banners as required


• Full time intern preferred, but would be open to part time
• Ability to work independently
• Reliable high speed internet connection and quality computer for regular Skype calls
• Strong English language skills
• Write and reply in a friendly, chatty style (most important)
• You must be familiar and have a proven track record of using Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms
• Experience in running Facebook pages
• Experience of working with Facebook and Twitter ads preferable
• Ability to use graphics/ image editing tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator or Canva to help with image content
• Interested in films, especially international and independent films
• Interested in building online communities
• Passion for social media
