At the end of retina surgery, a gas bubble is injected into the eye to tamponade (or affix) the retina in place. To keep the gas bubble (which floats) directed against the back of the eye, patients are required to lay face-down for 1 week or more and cannot see through the gas bubble nor fly until it dissipates. We are developing a optically clear, biodegradable polymer that will remove these lifestyle burdens from patients, as well as improve surgical outcomes and reduce reoperation rates.

There is a crisis in medical imaging. Current MRI contrast agents (GBCAs) contain toxic gadolinium. GBCAs cause brain deposition of gadolinium in all patients, and pose devastating risks to renally impaired patients. Each year over 4 million very sick patients worldwide must be denied crucial diagnostic imaging, and over 30 million patients are put at risk.
Reveal solves this >$1B problem with a biocompatible gadolinium-free contrast agent that is a safe, direct substitute for GBCAs.

We create functional, line management garments for patients with implanted intravenous lines.
Implanted intravenous lines leave patients at risk for many complications such as infection, dislodgement, and skin breakdown. Managing the lines leads to stress, discomfort, and unnecessary costs for patients, caregivers, hospitals and payers.
Our garments decrease line dislodgement, lower per patient costs, and improve safety and quality of life for patients with implanted lines.

Recent clinical studies proved that consistently introducing food allergens to infants before 6 months old prevents allergies by over 80% (*LEAP, EAT). The trouble is that parents find it scary, inconvenient, and stressful to introduce a range allergens regularly to their infants. We have created a convenient set of organic fruit puree pouches that contain the same amounts of allergens as the breakthrough studies, making it easy and stress-free for parents to prevent allergies.
