UrSure Inc. aims to prevent HIV by driving adherence to the drug, PrEP. If taken daily, PrEP is 99% effective at preventing HIV infections in non-infected individuals. Nationwide, PrEP adherence is estimated between 20 and 50%, but UrSure Inc. has driven adherence to over 80% in its HIV prevention clinic in Philadelphia through its urine tests. UrSure’s urine tests are noninvasive and painless, cheaper, more accurate, and have a faster turnaround time than alternative PrEP tests, which are limit

Medical Devices + Diagnostics

Nonhealing leg wounds affect approximately 1 million people in the United States annually. Treatment consists of moist wound care, compression dressing, encouragement of the patient to walk and elevate the wounded leg when sitting. Healing a nonhealing leg wound is a long process taking six months and requiring 25 to 50 dressing changes. We have built a working prototype that records patient activity compliance and alerts wound dressing status at home during the time between dressing changes.

We remove barriers to mental health care such as stigma, cost, and accessibility for patients while scaling up today's overburdened providers. Patients can text into a moderated support group anonymously from anywhere, at any time. Providers manage this access with AI algorithms that run on patient texts, and automatically track patients, detect complications, and focus provider efforts in real time. Together, this combines the clinical efficacy of therapy with the persistence of peer support.

Sleepbox is solving a problem of nations sleep deprivation and lack of privacy in our everyday lives by offering modular rest stations for public spaces. Customers utilize Sleepboxes in office spaces as an all-in-one solution to rest, nap, meditate, call, focus and nursing room, improving productivity, health and happiness. They also are "Sleep vending machines" in airports. Sleepbox has an attractive design, is easy to install, needs only 25 sq.ft. and has cool features to help relax or focus.

There are 130 million chronically ill Americans suffering from diseases like pre-diabetes/diabetes, hypertension, gastrointestinal disorders that cost $2.5 trillion per year to treat. Nutritional counseling prevents and effectively manages these chronic conditions. The use of registered dietitians leads to improved outcomes.

nesterly is a digital marketplace that helps older householders with spare bedrooms connect with young people willing to exchange help around the house for cheaper rent. For example, a grad student could rent from empty-nesters for a reduced rate in exchange for cooking dinner once a week. The platform facilitates connections across generations and social networks through beautiful design, intuitive interfaces, and most importantly, our proprietary negotiation and relationship management tools.

KRAM Wellness' teen founders developed FLEXFIT, an 8th generation tool that incorporates static stretching, massage and trigger point into one device. Inspired by a winning STEM project, flexibility improvements have been proven by a clinical study with The Micheli Center. $60K of Kickstarter pledges from around the world have validated our concept. FLEXFIT's patent pending design not only supports injury prevention and recovery but is also proudly assembled by individuals with disabilities.
